AFC Telford United have moved to appoint a former Tamworth boss as their interim manager.
The Bucks parted company with long-term boss Gavin Cowan earlier this week after defeat to Darlington ended his five-year stint with the club.
Former Tamworth boss Dennis Greene has joined as Interim Manager while the club look for a permanent successor to Cowan.
It is the 56-year-old managers first post since leaving the Lambs in January 2019, after just five months in the role.
A statement on AFC Telford’s website reads: “AFC Telford United have invited applications for the vacant post of first team manager and this starts what will be a detailed recruitment process that will take some time.
“Meanwhile the club have made interim appointments of Dennis Greene as Manager and Alex Meechan as Assistant Manager and they will be managing the first team with immediate effect.
“Both bring a wealth of experience and knowledge of the National League North.
“We welcome both Dennis and Alex to the football club.
“Let’s together get behind the first team and the football club for the upcoming games. Up the Bucks!”
