Not many Non-League players can say they have played in the Europa League.

New Tamworth recruit Jordaan Brown can!

The towering defender turned out for Finnish side VSP after signing from Staines Town.

Documentary maker Eli Mengem interviewed Brown whilst making a film about him for Copa90 – the film even features a marauding run before assisting a goal in the Europa League.

The former Staines Town man made his debut against IF Brommapojkarna.

Following his season in Finland, the 29-year-old defender then went on to play for Norwegian team Flekkerøy IL before a return to England for spells with Hayes & Yeading, Redditch and Stafford Rangers.

Brown says playing in Europe was one of his main reasons he took the plunge.

“It was a great experience. It’s a different culture compared to England,” Brown said.

“I was playing in the Conference South with Staines and I was having a good season. I had a few moves come up but they never really materialised and then my agent called and presented this opportunity to have a trial abroad.

“Playing Europa League was one of the main reasons I wanted to move there.”
