We might not have a start date yet but things are hotting up at the club as the Lambs’ management trio plot another assault on the Southern Premier League Central title.
While their league rivals had been announcing new signings and re-signings weeks before, Tamworth fans were made to wait – but it was definitely worth it.
Captain Ryan Beswick signed on first – quickly followed by Lathaniel Rowe-Turner, Joe Magunda, Aaron Forde and Bromsgrove Sporting striker Shaquille McDonald.
The following day, young prospect Ryan Tait signed senior terms before Bilal Yafai, Jordan Gough, Tom Tonks and Jimmy Fry were added.
Here’s how the fans reacted.
Ronan Gilbert thinks the Lambs might have done their best bit of business in tying down Rowe-Turner, saying, “Great news!!! Our best player last season in my opinion.”
Owen Kent disagrees, he thinks Ryan Beswick is the most important man at the Lamb. He wrote: “First and potentially most important part of the jigsaw,” when the skipper was announced.
Taking to Twitter, Stuart Turner was impressed with the standard of new addition Shaquille McDonald.
Replying to Lambs joint-boss Andrew Danylyszyn, he said: “Brilliant signing Andrew. If this is the standard being set, I cant wait for the season to start – whenever the FA ivory tower decrees it.”
Jim Wood is excited to see Tamworth Academy graduate Ryan Tait get a run out next season. “Class player!” he wrote.
And despite being a Stourbridge fan, Kieran Jones is looking towards the Lambs with envy.
“This side is filth, can’t even lie,” he took to Twitter to say.
Meanwhile Pete84822863 was hoping for more as he responded to goalkeeper Jas Singh’s tweet, saying, “Really pleased with the signatures that have been made. Still waiting for the likes of Jaz and Tait [sic] and others to commit and be part of the promotion winning team for 2020/2021 season. This says a lot for the management team. Thanks for all you do.”
